The appraisal has full gemological descriptions, quality, measurements, plots were needed, condition with photographs.

Estate Tax & Equitable Distribution Jewelry Appraisals

This report is written at Fair Market Value according to IRS publication 561.

 “Fair market Value (FMV) is the price that a property would sell for on the open market. It is the price that would be agreed on between a willing buyer and a willing seller, with neither being required to act, and both having reasonable knowledge of the relevant facts.”

Comparable Auction sales are researched and analyzed based on their similarity to the items being appraised.

Divorce

Fair market value opinions are provided for jewelry, gemstones and watches for one or both parties.

Donations

These reports are based on fair market value and are required for tax deductions of donated items.

Testimony

Sue is available at deposition, trial or arbitration for matters concerning jewelry, gemstone or watch values, valuation procedure or identification. This is billed on a hourly bases and subject to availability.
